National conference of astronomers of Serbia (formerly Serbia and Montenegro, i.e. Yugoslavia) is organized every three years, alternately by

 
Department of Astronomy,
Faculty of Mathematics,
University of Belgrade		 and Astronomical Observatory,
Belgrade.


XV National Conference of Astronomers of Serbia (NCAS), organized by the Department of Astronomy, will take place in Belgrade on October 2-5, 2008. The Conference activities will be organized in several sessions:

Conference sessions will include: invited talks presented by domestic and foreign lecturers, presentations of doctoral and master degree theses that have been completed since the last conference (2005-2008), contributed talks and posters. The session 8 of the XV NCAS will be partly dedicated to the preliminary activities and organization of the International Year of Astronomy 2009 (IYA2009). Contributions presented at the Conference will be published in the Conference proceedings.

Nacionalne konferencije astronoma Srbije (prethodno Srbije i Crne Gore, odnosno Jugoslavije) organizuju svake treće godine naizmenično Katedra za astronomiju Matematičkog fakulteta Univerziteta u Beogradu i Astronomska opservatorija u Beogradu.

XV nacionalna konferencija astronoma Srbije (NKAS), koju organizuje Katedra za astronomiju, održaće se u Beogradu, od 2-5. oktobra 2008. godine. Rad na Konferenciji biće organizovan u okviru nekoliko tematskih celina:

Konferencija će se sastojati od predavanja po pozivu domaćih i stranih naučnika, izlaganja doktorskih i magistarskih teza odbranjenih u periodu između dve konferencije (2005 - 2008), kraćih saopštenja i postera. Sekcija 8 XV NKAS delom će biti posvećena organizaciji i preliminarnim aktivnostima vezanim za obeležavanje Međunarodne godine astronomije 2009 (MGA2009). Radovi prezentovani na Konferenciji biće objavljeni u zborniku radova.
